No guidebook can ever be 100% reliable
1. Canyons by nature are dynamic. A flash flood
or a rock fall can dramatically change a canyon's condition
at any given moment. The very day a guidebook comes off
the press, it may already contain outdated information.
2. Guidebook authors make mistakes. Despite the
many hours that most authors spend going over details,
their guides books are published with mistakes and inaccurate
information.
